The latest Transformers film will no doubt produce a host of new transforming toys for kids and presumably gadgets for the older fans. I recently came across something that, as far as I know, wasn’t intended as a Transformers toy, but performs the same function to add a new feature to a remote control car.
The Maisto RC PT-808 (Robot mode) remote controlled car is a futuristic looking vehicle that will look cool wherever you take it; it has the added feature of being able to change into attack mode which changes the form of the car into a weapon that fires missiles.
The transmitter is tri-channel enabling up to 3 people to play against each other at a time. You would think that like most other transforming gadgets that you would have to physically make the change from car to robot. Not so with this RC Car. While the car is still moving you can change it into an attack launcher via the radio control and turn it back again.
If you are looking to get into the RC car scene or already own one but want a low cost alternative for fun and games, this could be a good choice. Its working lights allow it to be used in the dark and with a price tag of around £50 it won’t break the bank.
