It is quite difficult for inexperienced flyers of RC planes to get a combination of ease of flying, high speed and affordability. The last thing you want to do is lay out over £300 for your first plane and then go and crash it on the first flight leaving plane bits all over the field. In the X-Twin Thunder Jet you can have all three.
It is a futuristic looking jet that is constructed of Expanded Polypropylene Foam. This not only enables easy and fast flying, but if it decides to nose dive into the ground it should absorb the impact with no adverse effects to its looks or handling.
To give an extra boost to its speed, it has twin ducted fans mounted on its 10 inch wingspan which also aids in its steering by utilising two independent speed controllers on the 2 channel digital proportional radio controller.
The flight battery, when fully charged, provides a flying time of between 10 and 15 minutes and is charged via the transmitter. Time to a fully charged battery is between 20 and 30 minutes. The charger comes with an LED which indicates when the battery is fully charged. It has a range of up to 300 feet giving you plenty of room to perform some fancy flying and can be had for around £20.
